The First Lutheran Cemetery belongs to the First Lutheran Church of Trimont, Minnesota. The location of the cemetery is in the center of section #2 in Elm Creek Township.

Two acres of land, for a cemetery and building site were donated by Lars O. Tillman. He and his wife lived about 1/4 mile north of the cemetery. The church cemetery was orginally called the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. The church building was built in 1892 on the donated land. The church no longer stands. All that is left is a hedge where the church stood. The congregation moved into a new church building in the city limits of Trimont. After the move Mr & Mrs Everet Adamson donated a tract of land to be used as an addition to the cemetery.

The oldest stone in the Trimont First Lutheran Cemetery is that of Val Bannat. The date of death listed on her stone is August 25, 1887.
