McClary Cemetery, Washington Twsp, Daviess Co., Missouri Looking South and West across the cemetery, located in the middle of a large pasture.

I visited McClary Cemetery near Coffey, MO in September 2012. The prairie grasses have been allowed to grow. The family who own the ranch are very welcoming to visitors to the cemetery.

The old wooden gate has been replaced with a cattle gate. In Oct 2012 I visited the cemetery (from Illinois) along with a friend from California. The lady of the ranch was more than gracious, loaning us her 4-wheel drive vehicle, so we wouldn't have to drive our rental car through the pasture. She shared some local history articles with us and was very informative. Her time and generousity was greatly appreciated.
