This cemetery is adjacent to Memorial Lutheran Church Cemetery; it is located on the north side of the drive leading to the church.

When platting Afton, 20 acres were donated for a cemetery in 1855 but not deeded to Evergreen until 1873. Old records of the association date back to 1873. Afton Historical Society has updated and converted records to a new system by using maps and the old records. There are many unmarked gravesites. Grave care is overseen by an 11 member citizen board. See: "Afton Remembered", published 1996, pp 51-52, by Edwin G. Robb at MN Historical Society, Call No F612.W49 A376.
