The Illinois Odd Fellow- Rebecca Home, first occupied in 1899, an organization which has all of its own facilities, also maintains an attractive Cemetery, The Nellie Ross Hyde Memorial Gardens.

In 1946, Dr. Anna (Ross) Lantham donated funds she had inherited from her sister, Nellie (Ross) Hyde to purchase land for burial plots near the home, and hence the cemetery was named in her sister's honor..

Grave markers are flat bronze of uniform size and type.

The cemetery and trust fund are supervised by the trustees of the Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebecca Home.

Source of the above was in a publication of the Coles County Illinois Genealogical Society "The Prairie Sleeps, Volume II, Cemeteries of Mattoon, North Okaw & Humboldt Townships", page 388, which was published in 1985.
