Formerly known as Goonellabah Lawn Cemetery and Goonellabah Crematorium, Lismore Memorial Gardens is owned and operated by the Lismore City Council. The Lismore Memorial Gardens has served the Lismore district and surrounding communities since 1966. The three main components of the Memorial Gardens are:

Goonellabah Lawn Cemetery with traditional burials that include monuments and markers.

Goonellabah Crematorium, markers and memorials for cremated individuals.

Bushland Cemetery. In 2008, Lismore Memorials Gardens set aside bushland within the cemetery grounds for an eco-friendly burial area. Referred to as The Bushland Cemetery, this burial option is for those wishing to have minimal impact as they depart this life. This area uses no traditional or formal headstones.
