This is a most unusual cemetery because it is in 4 disjointed locations. The county road runs thru the middle and on one side of the road are 2 parts and 2 parts on the other side. There is an older wooden sign but no fencing around three parts. Some concrete curbing is located around some of the scattered graves. The steps of the church building are visible along with a sign that states the property belongs to St. Paul A.M.E. church. It appears areas are cleaned up, within the property for family burials, but the entire grounds are overgrown with trees and vines. The exception is on the right side of the road look carefully and you will notice a very clean area that is fenced with two gates and contains several newer burials. One gate is a driveway gate and the other is a unique ornamental tall iron gate.

Directions:

From Chilton Texas turn East on Hwy 7 and drive toward Marlin Texas. Turn left on CR 415 and drive until you see the cemetery on both sides of the road, just before a bend in the road. Cedar Valley Cemetery does have a highway sign.
