Turlough Graveyard is situated on the north side of the village of Turlough in County Mayo, 7km east of Castlebar.
The ruins of the Turlough Abbey and Round Tower are on the site. Turlough Abbey is said to have been founded by St. Patrick circa AD 441. None of the original abbey buildings are thought to remain on the site, as the Round Tower was a later addition, built in the ninth century. The abbey was dissolved in 1635, and the current church was constructed circa 1700.
