The old Thornton Township Cemetery is located southwest of the Village of Thornton, on the North side of Ridge Road, at the far East end of the large Cemetery complex. The site dates back to 1833 and was originally known as the Thornton Burial Ground.

The Cemetery is open to the public every Monday through Friday from 9AM to 1PM, April 1st through September 30th. The rest of the year, it is open by appointment only. Please call (708)596-6040 to arrange a visit.
