Hemphill Cemetery, Princeton Twp., Go West on SR on S R 16 out of Monon approximately 8 miles to Milroy Church and turn left on 60E. Go to 1050s & turn right. Go to 20 E turn left. 20 E goes into Wolcott from the north. Then go to 1200s turn right. Cross 1000W, and it's the first woods on the left (south). 1200s is the county line road. Go into woods at an old lane & walk about 1 mile straight south. If you come to a creek, you have gone too far. This once was the old Wolcott dump area. Private cemetery. Corrections from someone who found the cemetery:

"The directions were correct, except its not a mile back into the woods..maybe 6/10th of a mile from our calculations and up on a hill. With the instructions, they, in fact, were incorrect because Milroy church is on 60E, not 600 e. Then you turn onto 20 E, not 200 E. There is clearly a walking path with a gate that is locked. You can get through the barbed wire by just hiking each over 1 at a time, even for my short legs. There are at least 30 headstones there, but most unreadable and some even broken. It is a shame that this is a forgotten cemetery ...."

Indiana Cemetery Locations, Volume 3, published by the Indiana Genealogical Society (April 2007), gives the primary cemetery name as Hemphill Cemetery.

The cemetery is listed in the Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and in the State Historical Architectural and Archaeological Research Database (SHAARD) with Cemetery Record Number CR-91-51 (Hempbill).
