Add PhotosThis cemetery no longer exists, the last confirmed burial William Bowen Jr. # 281952459 was in 1965 Sometime between 1972 when the state sold the property and 1989 all know graves were removed, with about 70 being transferred to the Draper Correctional Center Cemetery in Elmore, Elmore County, Al.
There were at least two cemeteries and possibly more on the Kilby property, one being the prison cemetery the other being the Moseley Family Cemetery.
The Pintlala Historical Society had the bodies exhumed from the Moseley Cemetery at the Kilby property and moved to the Moseley Cemetery in Pintlala. These graves are located to the left as you enter the gate. Only a few markers remain.
Additional in 1917-1918 the US ARMY had established Camp Sheridan which encompassed at least part of the property which became Kilby Prison.
Dozens of soldiers passed away there during the Flu epidemic of 1918 at least some of them were buried at the Camp.
