The Sypolt cemetery is located on the hill above Albright, WV. The property is the farm of George Sypolt and was bought by Monongahela Power back in the 50's and is used as an ash disposal site. The cemetery is located off of the St. Joe Road that runs through Albright. As you travel from Rt. 26 towards Rt. 7 on the St. Joe Road you turn to the left right after you cross the bridge. The cemetery is at the top of a very narrow twisting dirt road. It lies on the ash disposal site and cannot be accessed without a key from the power company. The cemetery is small, fenced, and well maintained. The power company does a good job of mowing the grass through the summer. The stones are mostly modern stones, but the original stones on some of the graves still exist.
