SW Lot 16, Concession 4, Nassagaweya Township

This cemetery is located on the north side of 15th Sideroad, just east of Guelph Line.

Nassagaweya was surveyed in 1819 with settlers arriving soon afterwards from England, Ireland and Scotland. The first church building was a frame building erected in 1839. The one-and-a-half storey stone church, still in use today, was built in 1861. The cemetery was established in 1866.

In 1869, 58 people from Nassagaweya established St. David's Presbyterian Church in Campbellville. Nassagaweya and St. David's operated as a two-point charge (i.e. where two congregations are served by the same minister) until November 2004, when the Presbytery of Brampton divided the two congregations into two pastoral charges.

The property was designated in 2003, for its heritage value, under the Ontario Heritage Act.

The cemetery is registered to the Nassagaweya Presbyterian Cemetery Board. There are no known cemetery records.
