Wildey Cemetery (aka Vanderhoff Rd. Cemetery), taken ca 2001. One way to spot the location of the cemetery is to climb up the hillside on the opposite side of the road, then look across the road at the tops of the trees. The cemetery is under a cluster of hemlock pines, an old trick to keep cemeteries clear of weeds.

There are many small illegible markers & some taller ones that have fallen & broken. The fact that they are lying flat, covered by earth & debris, may be helping to preserve them. Unfortunately, in summer, they are very difficult to find amidst undergrowth. Photo taken ca. 2001.
