this photo shows one of the more prominent family plots at the cemetery. Note that there was a ghost who watched over me for the entire time that I was in the cemetery. The cemetery is very remote and has recently been worked on to try to reclaim it from severe neglect and overgrowth. To reach the cemetery get off Interstate I-10 at the Wilcox Exit, # 53. Go 9 miles North on County Road 64. Turn Left onto County Road 112 and go 10 miles to just past mile marker #6. Turn right onto a logging road (caution) do not attempt to reach the cemetery with a family sedan or a low riding vehicle. You need high clearance and preferably 4-wheel drive. The three and one half miles through the pine forest is tretherous and there are at least three places where you will go through washed out mud holes in the road one is approximately 50 yards wide. There are no homes or businesses that you can go to for help if you get stuck. Not a good experience for the weak at heart, especially if you travel alone as I do most of the time. If you succede in traversing the logging road, when it stops at the no trespassing sign. Park in the middle of the road, get out, walk about 1/4 mile to your right, look for a small clearing through the woods to your left, go about 600 yards up that trail and you will find the cemetery on your left. Another Caution, Don't go during hunting season, deer hunters don't like folks like us poking around during their hunts.

Once you get to this no trespassing sign after the 3 miles of dirt logging road, go right a hundred feet and follow the path under the telephone pole wires. There is a path wide as a car, follow the path for at least 1/4 of a mile and the cemetery arch way should be on your left. Safe travels and don't come during hunting season!
