Moorland General Cemetery is well maintained and surrounded by trees. There is a small columbarium wall in the cemetery with an inscription stating that it was funded and erected by the local community. Earliest burials and inscriptions date back to 1894 and the cemetery is still in use.
It is located about 1.5km north of Moorland township and approx. 33kms North of Taree. Take the Pacific Highway north from the intersection of Hannam Vale Road, for approximately 1.5km. The cemetery is immediately adjacent to the eastern side of the highway and is easy to miss as it can't be seen from the turnoff.
Moorland Cemetery is administered by MidCoast Council.
