Burgenlandweg 10
60599 Frankfurt am Main
Germany
The Waldfriedhof Cemetery (forest cemetery) is the sixth in Oberrad. On December 12, 1914 it was opened up. A fallen sergeant was the first to get his last resting place there.
An impressive grave field of second world war memorials and a war memorial for 800 Dutch, which had been taken to Germany as forced laborers and deportees and found their last peace here, are part of the cemetery.
With its winding paths, the high trees and the hilly terrain it is a retreat for stressed Frankfurt citizens.
The size of it is about 20 hectares.
