There are about 7 fieldstone marked graves at the first location which is in Section 35, Township 15 North, Range 26 West. These graves are located on private property in a remote wooded area, known by locals as the "Jones Point" because it was homesteaded in 1895 by Lewis B. & Elizabeth C. Jones. Remains of their old rock chimney, house foundation, and cellar still remain about 300 yards from the graves. The GPS Coordinates for this group of graves are: 35.92012 -093.70223

There is another single tombstone, located about 1/10 of a mile West of the first group of graves. There are also rocks from an old chimney and cellar at this location. The GPS coordinates for this single tombstone are:
35.91912 -093.70873

During the 1970's and 1980's, I visited these old homesteads routinely, since they are located just about 1/2 mile from the farm where I grew up and still own. At that time the owners did not object to visitors.

However, the property is now posted where these graves are located, and currently owned (2010) by a hunting club, which does not allow access to the area.
