About these numbers These percentages indicate the number of Find a Grave memorials that have a grave photo or GPS coordinates. We don't know the total number of burials in a cemetery, so we cannot calculate a percentage of those with memorials, photos or GPS coordinates.

This was the principal cemetery for the town of Kilrush, and the surrounding district, up until the mid 20th century, when a new cemetery was opened nearby which is now called
New Shanakyle Cemetery

Many of the descendants of those buried here can be found there.
The cemetery is "closed" with only a limited number of spaces remaining in family plots being available.

Due to an error, the photographs were accidentally erased before they could be added. It is hoped to re-photo in Spring 2017.
