There is a note on the gate that reads:

Hoodenpyl Cemetery

The cemetery is peaceful, and historic place of burial for our families and should be kept that way. The first person buried there is 6-year-old Samuel Dill who died August 7, 1865.
In 1984, Arlie Hoodenpyl arranged a charter whereby it is now Hoodenpyl Cemetery Association. A board of directors were appointed at that time. It is their responsibility to rule on any changes desired by family members.
Seggestions --
1. Briggs or Randall would help mark the grave for opening.
2. When a grave is dug the family is responsible for headstone alignment and fill in excessive dirt removal.
3. All foot stones top should be level with ground and their bottoms should be straight with grave bottoms in that row.
4. A PVC pipe placed at each grave for placement of flowers.
5. Flowers should be the only decorations.
6. Old flowers should be removed when new ones are placed.
7. No shrubs or bushes should be planted without approval of the board of directors.
8. Cemetery items only should be placed in the trash barrel.
Hoodenpyl reunion is the first Sunday in May each year. Donations are accepted at that time for up-keep of the cemetery.
