120 Silver Street, flat area north of Doherty Road. No carved markers, just field stones at the head of each grave. About 49 graves on this site. Originally described as the C.G. Flanders. Described in a cow pasture, in the woods, no names, no fence, many graves impossible to count them, marked with field stones. Date cemetery to about 1850

Who was buried here? Two field stones were at the head and one at the foot of the graves. The burials face east, ready for Judgement Day. The old, the sick, disabled, illegitimate, abandoned or orphaned children, black laborers who owned no land, alcoholics, transients, foreigners, the mentally ill and mentally handicapped. Women vulnurable to poverty. Young, single pregnant women especially. Childless widows and unmarried women without supportive families, that had no one to care for them in their sunset years.

Maintenance and preservation is ongoing by the Granby Land Trust.
