This cemetery is associated with the active church, St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Although the closest town is now Wakaw, SK in the RM of Hoodoo, the now lost village was called Lepine.

The silver domes of this active church in the RM of Hoodoo are barely visible among some tall conifers in about 1/2 mile, on the South side of Highway 41, past Wakaw Lake. It is best accessed by going east of the church along Highway 41 and then turning South and then back west at the first "road".

According to Cathy Kushneryk, most of the early settlers of this area immigrated from the village of Wereczanka, Bukowina, Ukraine.
