The Kalida Cemetery is on the west side of Kalida, at the western end of Plum Street, where the road dead ends into Plum Creek. Plotted in 1834 as out lot number 28, it is a one-acre parcel. This is a municipal cemetery with no religious affiliation. The Kalida Cemetery Trustees originally maintained it. Burials of religious backgrounds such as Baptist, Presbyterian and Methodist can all be found interred here. No land deed can be located for this parcel due to the devastating Courthouse fire in 1864. Today it is maintained by the Union Township Trustees and is inactive.
