The St. Patrick Roman Catholic Cemetery is located on the Rollingdam Road in the rural community of Rollingdam (Rolling Dam), Charlotte County, New Brunswick. The first Roman Catholic Mass was celebrated in Rollingdam at the home of Michael Griffin in 1836. Later a Catholic Church was originally built at Whittier Ridge in 1842 however Father James Quinn contracted Otis Prey to take it down and rebuilt at Rollingdam in 1857. The church was damage by Saxby Gale in 1869. In 1882, it was then taken down and all serviceable lumber was used in the construction of a newly rebuilt church. The church remain mainly unchanged for over 100 year when it was razed on October 4, 1996. The cemetery is made up of three parcels of land (NB PID# 01209923, 15072077 and 15072085). The land was cut out of a corner on the adjoining McGowan and Scullin properties that touched on the Digdeguash River to the east. St. Patrick's Church was situated just off the Rollingdam Road, dead centre on the former property line. The cemetery forms the majority of property behind the church. It too would be proportionately divided by the old McGowan/Scullin property line. There are over 530 known burials in the cemetery and with no active catholic church in Rollingdam today, interments are becoming more and more infrequent.
