Our Lady of the Angels (formerly St. Mary's was originally built in 1858) The current church was built in 1870 of local stone by local farmers under the direction of a professional stone mason is still in use. The church and cemetery lie on the historic Opeongo Road.

Part of the old cemtery at Our Lady of Angels.

Since there are many buried in this old cemetery who have no headstones. A memorial gate was forged and dedicated in 2008 when the parish celebrated it's 150th Anniversary. A local artisan designed the gate to depict the many features of the area. Represented are maple leaves and sap buckets, celtic designs for the early Irish settlers, pine forests and rough stonework fences to represent the local topography.
