Located on Red Cloud School Road in the northwestern part of Cramahe Township, this site is significant in that it's the only tallgrass prairie habitat cemetery in Ontario.

When the area was settled pioneers naturally gravitated to a place that was fairly clear and easy to plow. Then they set aside this two acres as their little community's cemetery.

Because it wasn't agriculturalized it preserved the tallgrass prairie.

Historically, Red Cloud was a thriving community in the late 1800s. It included sawmills, gristmills, a shingle mill, sash mill, farms, a school and a cemetery. The cemetery is a source of information about the settlement of the community as well as a memorial to the early inhabitants of the area. The first buriel dates back to at least 1850 and the last buriel was in 1940.
