Wiluna Cemetery opened in 1903 after the Wiluna Pioneer Cemetery (https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2751674/wiluna-pioneer-cemetery) was deemed unsuitable. Burial records are available through transcriptions by Outback Graves volunteers; records are incomplete and there are many unmarked graves.

The cemetery is included in the Shire's Municipal Inventory due to its high social and historical significance in association with the district's residents. Wiluna Cemetery continues to accept new burials.
