Shake Rag Cemetery
Wedowee, Randolph County, Alabama, USA
African American Cemetery. Shake Rag African American Cemetery
Township 20, Range 11, Section 5
Randolph County, Alabama
Across the road from:
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery
826 County Road 129
Rt 5 Wedowee, Alabama
Cemetery is beside Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in a overgrown section of trees.
When you turn into the driveway, Mount Pleasant Cemetery is on the right, and Shake Rag Cemetery is on the left. The "entrance" to Shake Rag is just past several cedar trees along the drive, and directly across from the "Starkey" headstone.
Walk into the woods about 10 feet and look to the right. You will see one unreadable headstone, and 15 - 20 upright stone grave markers with no inscription.
