About these numbers These percentages indicate the number of Find a Grave memorials that have a grave photo or GPS coordinates. We don't know the total number of burials in a cemetery, so we cannot calculate a percentage of those with memorials, photos or GPS coordinates.

This old cemetery is overgrown with briars and vines, and hasn't been cleaned in years. There are only a few headstones with names, many rocks marking unknown graves, and a lot of overgrown wooded area which probably is full of unmarked graves.

This cemetery has been known by many names over the years, including Pell City Cemetery, Avondale Mill Cemetery, the Company Cemetery, Avondale Cemetery, and Village Cemetery.

[Cemetery notes information taken from the April-May 2013 issue of "DISCOVER/The Essence of St. Clair", pg 74-77, "Buried Secret", by Jerry Smith.]
