About these numbers These percentages indicate the number of Find a Grave memorials that have a grave photo or GPS coordinates. We don't know the total number of burials in a cemetery, so we cannot calculate a percentage of those with memorials, photos or GPS coordinates.

The following was taken from the History of Linn County, 1882, page 647.

"This cemetery was laid out by Stephen S. McCollum on the old McCollum homestead, (southwest quarter of the northeast quarter, section seven, township fifty-eight, range eighteen). The first interment was that of the body of Sarah Jane McCollum, November 17, 1840. It is still used by the family as a burying ground."

This cemetery is sometimes AKA S.A. Lane or other names with Lane in it but it more appropriately should be the Stephen S. McCollum Cemetery based on the person who originally laid it out and the predominate use of the cemetery by members of that family.

Directions to Cemetery
From intersection of Hwy U and Hwy 36, north of Marceline, go north on Hwy U to London Road. Turn west and go about 1/2 mile. Cemetery is on the left (south) side of the road 50-75 yards from road and behind some buildings before getting to the house.
