Kukuihaele Catholic Cemetery
Kukuihaele, Hawaii County, Hawaii, USA
__________________________________
The cemetery is located in Kukuihaele, a small village about 9 miles west of Honoka`a Town.
From Honoka`a's main street, take Rte. 240 east for about 8 miles, then take the Kukuihaele turn-off to the right.
Follow the old Kukuihaele road for about 4/10 of a mile.
Look for [BUT DO NOT ENTER] a long driveway with stone pillars on the left: the marker says "Heers". On the right, behind tall grass and brush you should see an old abandoned church. Take the road past the church. The cemetery is about a tenth of a mile down the hill on your left.
This cemetery is made up of a few marked graves and quite a few unmarked graves. Many of the headstones are/were made of concrete and are either illegible or broken and unreadable.
