The following is an extract from the Minnesota Historical society Church History by S.D. Lincoln: "The Nyed Cemetery is located in the northeast corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 2 in Foldahl township, Marshall county, Minnesota. The farm on which the cemetery is located was homesteaded by Jan August Nordgren, and members of his family were buried there as early as 1882. On June 14, 1893, Mr. Mordgren 'in consideration of love, affection, and one dollar in hand paid' deeded one acre of land where the family graves were located to the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Nyed Forsamlingen. When the local church organization was dissolved, the Nyed Cemetery Association was organized to take over the care of the cemetery with Abel Anderson, Olaf L. Swanberg, Jacob P. Janson, Lars Larson, John L. Anderson, Lars P. Larson, John Larson, and Olaf Anderson named as incorporators. Officers were elected as follows: O.L. Swanberg, president; Abel Anderson, secretary-treasurer; and Lars L. Larson, board member. On June 15th, 1923, the cemetery was deeded over to the Association by the church corporation."

GEO coordinates are Latitude 48°22'10.12"N, Longitude 96°31'19.34"W. The cemetery also goes by the name "Foldahl Cemetery." It is on the SW corner of 340th Street SW and Pembina Trail NW.
