*This is NOT the Carlton Church Cemetery located in Bedford Township*

This cemetery is located in Syracuse, in Sutton Township. To get to the cemetery, turn north onto a road off College Road, that looks like a drive way, there is no street sign (it is right next to a house and makes a sharp drop from the road, low riding cars may have trouble negotiating the turn). You can only drive part way and will have to walk about a quarter of a mile up a township path to get to the cemetery. The cemetery is very overgrown, poorly maintained (if at all), and many stones are overturned, missing or buried.

The cemetery is located in Sutton Township, Meigs County, Ohio, and is # 7761 (Carleton Cemetery) in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
