This is the larger of the three cemeteries located at Watsons Crossroads. It shares its name with the local Fire Department and both are purportedly named after the woman who provided the land for their creation. Polly Watson is not buried in this cemetery but is buried in the small cemetery next to the Polly Watson Fire Department. It is located behind the fire department and is an African American cemetery. There are numerous unmarked, unknown, and sunken graves. The cemetery is marked by several large pine trees. From Fremont take NC 222 west, turn right onto N NC 581. Turn left at Polly Watson Fire Department where NC 581 turns left towards Johnston County. The cemetery will be on the left next to the road a few hundred feet from the crossroads. It is large and visible from the road.
