The heart of this area, containing 285 arcres, was purchased by Jacob Weatherholt before 1819. The now abandoned Old Waggoner Cemetery is at the top of the hill
overlooking the crossing of Hites Run and Hwy 60.

There are atleast 10 stones in this cemetery with initals only, with several that are no loner readable, and many field stones.
