One of the earliest markers in the area indicates the year 1834 - two small daughters of John McWilliams. When Mr. McWilliams died, it was stated in local history that he was buried in an old cemetery in Cranberry Township.
... In the wooded area are the very oldest markers of Allison, McWilliams and possibly many others that have follen over, or been covered by debris that has been thrown onto the graveyard.
The date of 1834 indicates that this site is the burial grounds of some of the founding families of the area."
