Add PhotosBeaverdam Episcopal Church was the second Episcopal Church in Goochland County and the eventual successor to Dover Episcopal Church. Both churches were founded as part of the Church of England and they served parishioners in Saint James Northam Parish during the the colonial era. Saint James Northam Parish was disestablished circa 1785, following the close of the Revolutionary War, and the Church of England in the former colonies became the Protestant Episcopal Church in America.
