Ostrów Mazowiecka Cemetery Restoration and Memorial Project

In early 2010, the ownership of the two cemeteries in Ostrow Mazowiecka was restored to the Jewish community of Poland. The "new" cemetery, dating back to the late 1800s, is located on the outskirts of town.

This war cemetery contains the graves of 41.000 Soviet prisoners of war who perished in the German POW camp "Stalag 333" in the period 1941-1943.
