"Within the N.C. Gamelands is a small cemetery on the south side of N.C. 1151 (Green River Cove Road), 1.9 mile from where it intersects with N.C. 1138 (Silver Creek Road). The cemetery is located about 50 yards off the road, at the top of a small rise. At the place where you park, there is a gravel road on the north which follows a natural gas right of way, and a gate on the south allowing foot traffic into the N.C. It is apparent from the marked stones at this cemetery (including Levi Arledge), that there are more graves here. Field stones have most likely disappeared due to logging, animals, the power company and the building of the gas line. From land deeds, this is the land (on both sides of the Green River) that was owned by Amos Arledge and then his son, Jonathan A. Arledge.
