Glengarriff and Glengarriff Extension

Glengarriff cemetery is adjacent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church on the Kenmare side of Glengarriff, on the N71 main road through the village. Sacred Heart was erected in 1902 to replace the old chapel in the burial grounds at Cappyaughna. The old chapel at Cappyaughna is still standing, having been renovated and converted into a parochial hall.

The cemetery is in two parts, the older register begins in 1934 and the burial register for the extension covers 1993-2020 (burials within 10 years not displayed). To search these records click https://graveyards.skibbheritage.com/Search.aspx
