The Church of St Martin was restored in 1888, but has a foundation that dates from the 12th century. It has been designated by English Heritage as a grade II listed building. There are a few tombstones for members of the Dore family still standing in what remains of the churchyard, as well as monuments to the Ash, Ward and Lawrence families inside the church.
