Grave Stone

Another view of the unmarked graves.

this cemetery is in the middle of residential area in downtown historic Opelika, AL. Unfortunately, it is unkept and many headstones are so far damaged they can not be read. The residence in the area prefer to keep it looking likes a wooded area vs a cemetery for property value.
To reach this cemetery from downtown Opelika, take 10th street N, which will become Oak Bowery Rd. At the first yellow blinking signal (Northgate Dr) turn R, go one block and turn right onto India Rd. The cemetery will be on R along India Road between residences 1414 and 1700 and goes back one city block. Heavily wooded and overgrowth area. Access from Oak Bowery is not available easily as owner has posted signs

Other graves with no markers. I moved the leaves so you could see them.
