This is half a mile north of the Rathfriland-Newry road about half-way between the two towns. It is in the townland of Shinn and parish of Newry. The church was built in 1834 and when first completed had no floorboards or seats. (O.S. Memoirs) The graveyard is to the east and south of the church and is uneven but well kept. Most of the older stones are of rough granite and several have disappeared in recent years. The oldest date of death recorded is 1837 and all pre-1900 stones have been recorded.
