"The Little Christian Cemetery", is also known as "Old Christian Cemetery".
Township 11 South, Range 2 West, Section 17
Driving directions: From downtown Cullman go South on Highway 31 to Wallace State Community College; turn left on College Street; after about a half mile, turn on Hopewell Road; after another half mile or so, turn left on Boyd; cemetery is on the right past a row of houses; look for the boulder with the bronze plaque. Surveyed 16 April 2005.
Plaque in front of cemetery reads:
"The Little Christian Cemetery. A forgotten burial ground used from 1848 until 1914.
Some seventy graves, majority unmarked. Restoration project initiated by Cullman County Historical Society in 1975. Special assistance by Hanceville Key Club, White City Homemakers Club, Hanceville First Methodist Church, Hanceville Garden Club, Chester Speegle, Hanceville Memorial and Service Company, Cagle and Cagle Contracting Company, City of Hanceville and George H. Whisenhunt.
Cullman County Historical Society 1979."

Leneta and Marcia have also stated that after the 2011 tornado, that this cemetery is now in sad shape. They have reported that it is getting over grown, deep holes where the graves are, broken monuments, and monuments falling in the holes. Some work has been done, but more is needed.
A very big "Thank You" to Leneta Hopper Pender, and her daughter, Marcia Pender, for taking the time to visit the cemetery to take pictures,and collect information, to help me make a better listing for this cemetery. Thank you.
