This cemetery in East Lumberton has existed since the mid 1800's and possibly earlier. The land was owned by the Lewis family and sold to the Lumberton Cotton Mills in 1900, later to Mansfield Mills in 1924, with a small section remaining as the Lewis Cemetery. This cemetery was also used as a burial site for the poor by Robinson County. The cemetery sat across from what was once the County Home property on Whiteville Road which lead to this cemetery being known as the County Home Cemetery well into the mid 1930s. The City of Lumberton now owns the cemetery property and it is unclear why the cemetery was renamed Old Hollywood thus ignoring the rich history of the land.
*All land information was obtained from the Robeson County Register of Deeds Office*
