The cemetery is in relatively poor state with many overgrown graves that are not visible/ "curb" type memorials that have become overgrown with turf etc. The earliest burial was 1880 and the last 2001. There are reported to be 364 headstone inscription burials in the cemetery. It does look as if some work has been done to maintain the top section, where the more recent graves are - but the lower section with the older graves is presently left untouched. The Bethesda Methodist Chapel itself, has been demolished. The cemetery sits on the right hand side [ if approached from the Four Crosses direction ] of the A525 Ruthin Road, just before entering the village of Bwlchgwyn, North Wales. There is a footpath with marker sign running along the side of the cemetery, which helps locate it.
