None of the three churches in the catholic parish of Mohill: St Patrick's (1886); St. Mary's (1844) Eslin N41 XE97; or St Joseph's (1837) Gorvagh N41 W586; has a graveyard attached so burials continued at the site of the old church on Convent Lane in Mohill.
That burial ground now consists of three distinct sections -
1. Convent graveyard within the walls of where the old church once stood.
2. Old Catholic graveyard that surrounded that church with grave markers dating from 1840.
3. Municipal new cemetery annex for burials of all faiths.
There is also a famine burial ground at Bully's Acre in Boeeshil where the many who died in Mohill Workhouse lie in unmarked graves.
