The Old Gays River Cemetery is on the Coldstream Road. It is about 500 meters from the intersection between the Coldstream Road and Route 224 and it is on the right hand side of the road, surrounded by a chain link fence. The Old Gay's River Cemetery dates from 1818 - 1858. It was replaced by the Gays River United Church Cemetery that is less than 1 kilometer away.

There is a central monument in the old cemetery listing the names of the early pioneers of Gays River. Most of the original headstones in this cemetery are no longer standing in their original location but are piled in a remote corner of the graveyard.
