Advance Cemetery is located one mile west and 1.5 miles north of the hamlet of Busby, Alberta on the SW corner of the NW Quarter of Section 35, Township 57, Range 27, West of the 4th Meridian. It was also called Mount Pleasant at one time but the current sign at the cemetery bears the name Advance (2019). There are thought to be about 100 graves.

This cemetery was started in the early 1900s with the earliest known burial in 1913. Records were kept, but were destroyed in a house fire. Due to the loss of records, quite a number of memorials are without complete data. Community members worked together to prepare a list of burials that took place, including both ones with and without markers. Large signs at the cemetery display the list. It is thought that some graves were exhumed from Advance Cemetery and placed in Busby's Forest Hill Cemetery.
