Romanesque church consecrated to St. Morten. Catholic winged altarpiece from 1515 with Madonna. Romanesque font, Renaissance pulpit from 1600, made by Ringerinch from Flensborg. Ducal burial chapel, now the vestry.
Egen church near Guderup on the island of Als has its Romanic origin about 1100. Inside there is a famous late Gothic altarpiece from about 1515.
Near the church, there are old church stables, which are a rare tourist attraction. These long rows of stables were built from 1793 to 1894, so the people visiting the church could place their horses meanwhile. In total there are 34 stables for two horses each.
Of special interest: half-timbered stables from 1793-1894, bell tower, a monument to fallen soldiers from World War I.
Egen is a very small village on Als with name origins from the Norse language period, the Iron Age. It is thus one of the oldest place names on Als. Egen is located immediately south of Guderup in Egen Sogn in Sønderborg Municipality and belongs to the Region of Southern Denmark
