The ruins here are accessible by 4WD only and this site is heritage listed.
The property was built as an outstation for the Mt Margaret Station in 1863 and became the main homestead when the Mt Margaret buildings were abandoned by 1876.
An important repeater station operated between 1870 and 1891 and there was also a copper mine and smelter which proved to be unsuccessful.
